STICKY RICE WITH MANGO (Khao Niew Ma-Muang)

Ingredients:

3 cups Sweet Rice

2 1/2 cups Coconut Milk

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

4 ripe mangoes

Bamboo Steamer

Aluminum Lao Pot

Instructions:

1. Soak sticky rice in water for three hours. Drain and steam for 30 minutes. A Wang Derm Bamboo Steamer over a Diamond Aluminum Lao Pot is recommended for the steaming process.

2. Mix coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Put this mixture in a pot to heat for 4 minutes.

3. In a separate bowl, quickly mix sticky rice with the contents of the pot. Set aside for 15 minutes.

4. Peel and slice the mangoes. Serve with sticky rice.
